The Cat Network is run solely by volunteers. If you’d like to make a difference in the lives of homeless cats, join us by becoming a volunteer. We need volunteers in a variety of areas:
Cat Care | Application
We house four cats in the habitat at the Ellisville Petco and need volunteers to scoop litter boxes, feed, fill water bowls, clean, and socialize with the cats on a daily basis. Volunteers must be 14+.
We also house about 15 cats at the Purple Building in the Benton Park West neighborhood of St. Louis. Volunteers are also needed here to scoop litter boxes, feed, fill water bowls, clean, and socialize with the cats on a daily basis. Volunteers must be 18+ or accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Adoption Events | Application
We hold adoption events at the Ellisville Petco on most Saturdays from 12pm to 4pm. We need help setting up and breaking down cages and tables before and after the event, assisting potential adopters, monitoring the kitties, and transporting cats to and from adoptions. Volunteers must be 14+.
Crafts and Craft Sales | Contact Us
We make and sell pet beds and toys at area events to raise funds. If you are crafty and like to sew or create, we could use your help in making these items. We also need people who can attend local events to promote the organization and sell the items.
Fundraising | Contact Us
We are always looking for new ideas to raise funds. If you have ideas or leads on ways to fundraise, let us know! We could use help with setting up and planning fundraisers such as online fundraisers (i.e. home-based businesses like jewelry, purses, candles, etc.), restaurant fundraisers, etc.
Grant Writing | Contact Us
If you have experience in grant writing, we could really use your help to acquire grants for veterinary care and special projects, as well as to acquire large food and litter donations from corporations.
