In 2012, I adopted my first two FIV+ cats. Tucker and Juanita were the most loving cats I could have ever hoped to come into my life. They were the best of friends, and when Tucker passed earlier this year, Juanita started to show signs of missing her buddy. When I set out looking to find another furry companion for her, I knew I wanted to bring another FIV+ cat into our home. Tucker lived an amazing and full life. Now understanding that many cats are missing out on homes because of their FIV+ status I will always seek out these wonderful feline friends. I came across Kevin on Petfinder and was drawn in by his beautiful coat and eyes.
We officially adopted him on October 24th, and he has fit right in from the moment he arrived! His name has changed to Buster, and Juanita is enjoying having another friend, but it is our Great Dane who is ecstatic to have a new brother! Dax (our Great Dane) and Buster can often be found cuddling in bed or on the couch surveilling Soulard together. Buster has been a wonderful addition to our family and we are so grateful to The Cat Network for bringing him into our lives and helping all cats, especially the FIV+ ones, in finding forever homes.~ Elizabeth
